New CD by Tomas Michaud - New World Flamenco Jazz

New World Flamenco Jazz is the fifth CD released by Tomas Michaud. This original instrumental Spanish influenced smooth jazz music CD combines Michaud's fluid Flamenco guitar with spicy Latin grooves and other world rhythms. New World Flamenco Jazz is part of Michaud's collection other evocative and romantic works, Heart Coming Home, Passion Dance, I Must Be Dreaming and In the Presence of Angels. Michaud’s style can be described as a unique blend of the “Nouveau” Flamenco guitarists such as Ottmar Liebert and Jesse Cook blended with a smooth jazz sound made popular by Peter White and Marc Antoine.

On this CD Tomas is joined by legendary bassist David Margen who is best known for his 6 year, 4 album performances with the Santana band. Also adding their unique charms and talents are Phil Thompson on drums (formerly with Pete Escovedo), Brian Rice on percussion, Don Turney on keyboard, Michealle Goerlitz (of the band Wild Mango) on additional percussion, Obadiah Butterworth on Flamenco guitar and Wayne Ledbetter on Saxes.
